Windsor and Truro named in top three most romantic staycation destinations

A new study by the research team at WeThrift has uncovered the most romantic staycation destinations in the UK and Windsor in Berkshire and Truro located in Cornwall land in the top three.

Windsor is officially the UK's most romantic staycation destination with an overall score of 64.7 out of 80. The town is home to Windsor Castle, an official residence of the British royal family, as well as the royal Windsor racecourse and a Legoland resort, plus as many as 135 things to see and do, making it the perfect honeymoon getaway.

According to the research, couples will be heading to the South West coast this Valentine's Day, as Truro comes in at a close second place as the most romantic staycation spot in the UK with an overall score of 58.9. The Cornish city rated consistently across all categories with special mentions going to the 34 romantic restaurants, 22 jewellery shops and 92 things to do during a trip to the cathedral city.
