The Relais Henley, Oxfordshire joins Pride of Britain Hotels

Located in the historic market town, The Relais Henley is an idyllic waterside retreat. Situated in a restored heritage building that was traditionally a 16th-century coaching inn, the hotel's interiors have been inspired by the river that runs parallel and local traditions and craftsmanship have been sensitively incorporated into the redesign. The windows frame the view of the Thames, with bold stripes representing traditional rowing club blazers running throughout its rich wool carpets. The hotel features 40 individually designed rooms, with some named after notable guests to have visited the site including King Charles I and Princess Grace of Monaco.

New Chairman appointed at Pride of Britain Hotels

Taking over from Sue Williams, managing director of Whatley Manor in Wiltshire, Mark Chambers will work closely with the senior leadership team of Pride of Britain Hotels and oversee the Board members, made up of leading hoteliers. Pride of Britain Hotels currently has a number of hotels dotted around the British Isles including in Bovey Castle in Devon and Hartwell House in Buckinghamshire.

New sky-high hotel and wedding destination opens in Milton Keynes

The new four-star plus Hotel La Tour has opened its doors in Milton Keynes, combining modern sophistication with timeless elegance following a multi-million-pound development. Home to the county's highest bar and fine-dining restaurant, Fourteen, there's also a honeymoon suite situated on the top floor, home to a super king-size bed, luxury bathtub with a TV and a secluded lounge enjoying skyline vistas across Buckinghamshire. There's a stylish events space located on the first floor that's licensed for ceremonies and can host between 60 and 200 guests. It's home to a dancefloor, fully functioning bar and features mood lighting at twilight. The four-star hotel, located on the banks of the River Thames, has transformed its outdoor dining pods to create a magical and romantic setting for the occasion. Staffed with a dedicated server and events expert throughout the evening, the heated, cosy pods have been decked out with candles, fairylights, flowers and Bluetooth speakers, allowing diners to create the perfect ambience with their favourite songs. Couples will be welcomed with a bottle of Laurent-Perrier Champagne on arrival before being shown to their private outdoor dining area.
