BEAR by Carlo Scotto set to open in Beaconsfield this summer

On Wednesday 30th July, award-winning chef Carlo Scotto opens BEAR, a personal 14-seat chef's table concept located in Beaconsfield, Buckinghamshire. BEAR will offer guests an exclusive front-row seat to Carlo's most intimate and expressive culinary experience to date.

Best known for his fearless creativity and boundary-pushing flavours, Carlo has emerged as one of the most exciting voices in modern British cuisine having worked in the kitchens of Gordon Ramsay, Angela Hartnett and the Galvin Brothers before opening his first solo project Amethyst in 2022. With a reputation for culinary detail learnt at London's finest kitchens, his ambition burns brighter than ever with the launch of his latest venture where he peels back the layers of traditional fine dining to reveal something raw, refined, and personal.

Set within an immersive open kitchen and an exclusive 14-cover chef's table, BEAR offers an intimate front-row seat to culinary artistry as it unfolds, with an atmosphere that feels more like a private dinner party than a conventional restaurant.

Seasonal and packed full of intent, the menu is inspired by techniques honed on his journey, including a Moroccan spiced duck with morels poached in a home-brewed pickled aged rum served with tempeh fermented British asparagus with wild garlic and lacquered in a beetroot jus.

BEAR will offer the below two experiences as part of the new concept, both of which will be available with a selection of paired wines:
Carlo's Edit - a lighter, curated journey through the chef's seasonal inspirations with six courses (bookable from Tuesday to Saturday at 6 pm).
The Full Experience - an extended, ambitious expression of Carlo's signature style with eight bold courses (bookable from Tuesday to Saturday at 7.45 pm).
