The HangOut Returns This Summer at Donnington Valley Hotel & Spa

The HangOut Bar & Grill at Donnington Valley Hotel & Spa in Newbury is back and better than ever for the summer season. Launched in May, The HangOut is the ultimate outdoor spot in Berkshire for long sunny lunches, laid-back cocktails, and indulgent evening feasts. Located al fresco on the hotel's stylish outdoor terrace, The HangOut invites guests to enjoy an easy-going dining experience packed with flavour. From hand-stretched wood-fired pizzas to succulent signature burgers, nibbles, and lighter options like fresh salads and a new sharing board, every dish is created using top-quality, locally sourced ingredients by the talented kitchen team at the hotel.

New for 2025: What’s on the Menu

Guests can tuck into crispy chilli beef, halloumi fries, or warm flatbreads with houmous to start. The hand-stretched wood-fired pizzas are a must-try, with tasty toppings including sausage and pesto or caramelised onion and goat’s cheese. Burger fans will love the Donnington smash burger or the dirty chicken stack – and there’s a halloumi and mushroom option for veggies too. Lighter bites include burrata salad, tapas-style warm potatoes with chorizo, and the classic Caesar salad with chicken or smoked salmon. For sharing between diners, there's the cured meat board and warm garlic pizza breads.

Whether guests are joining for lunch, an afternoon bite or a date-night dinner and drinks, Guests are invited to pair their food with something from the specially curated wine list, or truly unwind with a refreshing cocktail in hand. The HangOut provides the perfect relaxed setting to soak up the summer vibes. If the Great British weather takes a turn then don’t worry, the stretch tent keeps things cosy and dry while still enjoying that al fresco feel.

No reservations are necessary – simply drop in and HangOut! The HangOut is open Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 12 pm until 6 pm and will remain open until September 2025.
