Burnham Beeches Hotel enjoys a recent transformation

Burnham Beeches Hotel in Buckinghamshire

Nestled in historic hunting grounds in 10 acres of magical woodland and lawns, home to wildlife and a family of deer, sits Burnham Beeches Hotel, a luxurious 80-bedroom property and wedding venue. Located in the Buckinghamshire countryside a stone's throw from Windsor, the hotel sits adjacent to the protected nature reserve Burnham Beeches. It's the perfect pick for a bridal shower afternoon tea; a peaceful night's sleep before the big day; a grand backdrop for a ceremony or an intimate and elegant setting for a magical wedding reception.

The property has recently undergone an elegant and creative transformation across public areas including the spectacular bridal suite, The Clifton Suite (named after the family that once resided at the house) and the Soul Spa health club. Designed by Immersive Hospitality Management's head of design and development, Kay Cullen, the newly renovated property offers a new contemporary look and feel whilst retaining the history of the building and celebrating the hotel's nature reserve location and surrounding ancient forest. The overall design showcases an eclectic mix of furnishings to reflect the Georgian sensibilities, of travel and discovery expressed in exotic fabrics and objects. The palette and fabrics used throughout echo a mythical forest, linking the location and surrounding nature to the area's renowned Blockbuster filming history.

Entering the hotel, guests are welcomed by an open and light reception area featuring a standout tree in its centre to reflect the forest, surrounded by a custom-made, teal velvet round banquette seating area, immediately immersing guests in the story and nature of its address. Thought-provoking murals by Rebell Walls and wallpapers from the likes of Sanderson Design Group, have been used to envelop and engage the guest, with pops of brighter green and blue wall tiles balancing the natural colour palette.

The new indulgent bridal suite offers guests an immersion into the Georgian spirit, featuring enchanting chinoiserie wallpaper (Dina Hill for Harlequin) that envelops the space, reflecting the travels of the infamous Grand Tour, where exotic fabrics and art were brought back to line the walls of country mansions. A lavish four-poster bed faces extensive views of the tree-lined lawn, while a slinky slipper bath sets the scene for romantic relaxation.

The suite further boasts a generous and elegant separate lounge and dressing area, with striking Ikat fabric curtains (Sanderson, Kasuri Weave), alongside a substantial shower room designed with beautiful teal/blue tiles laid in a basket weave design, a double his and hers vanity sink, touches of brass, and Pooky, vintage-inspired light fittings complement the Georgian features.

Ceremonies and receptions are held in the elegant Windsor Suite for up to 120 guests. It provides a blank canvas that can be dressed to suit any theme. It boasts plenty of natural light, wooden floors, contemporary neutral interiors and elegant features. It's ideal for weddings during the cooler months or reception drinks. The Chiltern Bar, located next door, ensures that the atmosphere flows - and also the drinks tray!

Outside, ceremonies are held under the new Wedding Pavilion positioned on the front lawn for up to 120 loved ones seated on the manicured lawn. Because the Great British weather can't be guaranteed, a plan B is offered if the forecast isn't cooperating. A complimentary food and wine tasting is included within the package
