First vintage release of Brimoncourt 2009 celebrated at The Loch & The Tyne

The first vintage release of Brimoncourt 2009 will be celebrated with a special dinner served at The Loch & The Tyne on 14th April, pairing the house's champagnes with each of five courses for a bespoke tasting menu, priced at £150 per person. Born under the lucky star of plentiful nature and from an early harvest from selected plots, the 2009 vintage reflects the Brimoncourt singularity and energy: a remarkable Cuvée, of extreme finesse carried by a Chardonnay-led freshness combined with the delicious maturity of twelve-year ageing.

George Hersey, restaurant director at the Adam Handling Restaurant Group says that having tasted the pre-release earlier this year, he thought the ageing was outstanding. "What an amazing opportunity to showcase Brimoncourt across our group of restaurants, not only are we having the event at The Loch & The Tyne, but we're also offering the menu by the sea at Ugly Butterfly Carbis Bay, Cornwall."

He continues, "The wines are paired with fabulous British produce grown close to our locations including Cornish honey which we're serving with our main course of duck."

Brimoncourt Brut Regence NV will be served with Adam Handling's famous snacks, followed by Brimoncourt Brut Blanc de Blanc NV with Orkney scallops and oyster cream. Brimoncourt Grand Cru Extra Brut is paired with Lobster tortellini and smoked shellfish, and the very special Brimoncourt Vintage 2009 has been paired with Duck, caramelised swede and honey. The dessert, Cherry, meadowsweet, millet are served with Brimoncourt Brut Rose NV.

Diogo Veiga, brand manager for Champagne Brimoncourt says of the collaboration: "Not only is the food incredible at The Loch & The Tyne, but the ritual of presentation and service is so in line with the way that we create our wines at Brimoncourt. It is the perfect space to present our most exciting release, the 2009 Vintage."T
