Katie Robotham from Say Yes Bridal Stylist talks sustainable beauty

Katie Robotham is the owner of Say Yes Bridal Stylist, a cruelty free and vegan-friendly bridal and event hair styling service in and around the Cotswolds. We catch up with her about making sustainable choices when it comes to big-day beauty.

She tells us, "If sustainability is important to you, there are many bridal hair and make-up businesses who, like myself, have chosen to try and reduce their environmental impact. By making simple changes like using disposable and biodegradable towels, recyclable products including face masks and recycled packaging, it's the small things that have a bigger impact."

Katie continues, "Some great sustainable hair and beauty brands are vegan-friendly and cruelty free. My favourites are Colourwow sulphate-free, cruelty-free and gluten-free hair products that don't contain phthalates and ensure no colour distorting. Maria Nila offers vegan hair care items and Tropic offer vegan-friendly make-up and skincare products. Many styles that brides request require hair extensions.
