Vanessa and Dom met on Tinder in 2017. "Dom had a great photograph of him on a boat somewhere tropical and also playing golf which was an instant attraction for me," Vanessa tells us. Dom adds, "Vanessa had a selection of photos which showcased her lovely eyes and brown hair." The couple enjoyed their first date at an Italian restaurant and soon became inseparable. "We moved in together during the autumn of 2018, survived the lockdown in a one-bedroom flat and purchased a house together during the summer of 2021," they tell us.

A Spring Affair

Claire and Adam met through friends during a trip to St. Ives in Cornwall. "Adam proposed to me at home," Claire says. "He had placed rose petals and candles around our house ready for when I came home from work one Friday evening. My Universe by Coldplay was playing in the background and it was all so romantic."

All Things Bright and Beautiful

Rebecca and Simon met through work in 2019 after both qualifying as nurses. "We started as friends but our friendship grew into something more during the pandemic," Rebecca tells us. "During this time, there were limited options as to what we could do due to the restrictions, so we went for walks at Camber Sands, picnics and visited the supermarkets!"

A Beautiful Berkshire Day

Amy and Luke met at the University of Reading in 2015 during their f i rst year. "Luke proposed to me on the 26th of August 2023," Amy tells us. "He ordered cake pops from Pop Bakery that spelt out the words 'Amy will you marry me?' I came downstairs to make a cup of tea in the morning and when I opened the fridge to get the milk, there they were! The proposal wasn't a surprise, but how he did it was."

Out Of This World

Laura and Sam attended the same school and met in sixth form. "We hit it off straight away with similar tastes in music and other hobbies," Laura tells us. "Sam proposed to me in Central Park, New York on the 25th of May 2022. I had a feeling that it was coming but I kept telling myself I was imagining it as I didn't want to ruin the surprise. It was one of the best days (and trips) of our lives – and my first time visiting the USA."

Made In Buckinghamshire

Liv and Louis were friends for years having met at a 16th birthday party of a mutual friend. "It wasn't until the summer of both our fi nal years of university that we became a couple," they tell us. "We enjoyed a long-distance relationship for a year and the rest is history."

Summer Days

Carmel and Rob met at school when they both attended the Reading Blue Coat School. "We spent a month away in Bolivia on a world challenge expedition one summer and that's where it all began," they tell us. Rob proposed during a holiday to Cascais in Portugal in September 2021. "It was a surprise because we'd been together for 12 years and I'd almost given up hope that he might ever propose!" Carmel tells us.

Countryfile

Sharon and Richard met via a dating site. "After messaging for a few weeks, we enjoyed our fi rst date in a lovely pub in the Cotswolds," Sharon tells us. "It was love at fi rst sight, we didn't stop talking the entire evening! We had plenty in common in terms of interests and both had children of a similar age."
