A Beautiful Berkshire Day

Amy and Luke met at the University of Reading in 2015 during their f i rst year. "Luke proposed to me on the 26th of August 2023," Amy tells us. "He ordered cake pops from Pop Bakery that spelt out the words 'Amy will you marry me?' I came downstairs to make a cup of tea in the morning and when I opened the fridge to get the milk, there they were! The proposal wasn't a surprise, but how he did it was."

Summer Days

Carmel and Rob met at school when they both attended the Reading Blue Coat School. "We spent a month away in Bolivia on a world challenge expedition one summer and that's where it all began," they tell us. Rob proposed during a holiday to Cascais in Portugal in September 2021. "It was a surprise because we'd been together for 12 years and I'd almost given up hope that he might ever propose!" Carmel tells us.

Countryfile

Sharon and Richard met via a dating site. "After messaging for a few weeks, we enjoyed our fi rst date in a lovely pub in the Cotswolds," Sharon tells us. "It was love at fi rst sight, we didn't stop talking the entire evening! We had plenty in common in terms of interests and both had children of a similar age."

Made In Buckinghamshire

Liv and Louis were friends for years having met at a 16th birthday party of a mutual friend. "It wasn't until the summer of both our fi nal years of university that we became a couple," they tell us. "We enjoyed a long-distance relationship for a year and the rest is history."

A Windsor Wedding

As soon as Charlotte and Aaron met, they hit it off right away. Aaron says, "Charlotte was energetic, full of life, intelligent, funny and kind – I knew we were a good match from the start. Charlotte adds, "From the moment we met, Aaron made me feel calm and completely at ease. Our joint love for food, sport and enjoying life to the fullest meant that we clicked straight away."

Samantha and Alex met at school and were friends for years before they started dating in 2014. "Alex proposed during a trip to Croatia while we were watching the sunset on the 26th of August 2021," Samantha tells us. "It was a beautiful evening and he asked a stranger to take a photo of us in front of the sunset and suddenly proposed to me!

Down By The River

Issy and Adam met at secondary school. "We knew of each other for years and I agreed to go on a coffee date with him when I was in college," Issy tells us. Adam adds, "I just knew she was the one. I told my mum there was a girl I knew I was going to marry but we were so young so I waited until the right time. Luckily for us, the wait was worth it."
