Atul Kochhar welcomes Joe Wadsack to Vaasu for English Wine Week

On Wednesday 19th June, coinciding with English Wine Week (15th - 23rd June 2024), Atul Kochhar's Vaasu restaurant in Marlow will host an exclusive dinner and wine pairing event with wine expert Joe Wadsack.

A well-known TV personality, journalist, consultant and wine judge, Joe Wadsack hosts a regular YouTube show, The Drinks Coach UK, and has appeared as the drinks expert on the BBC's Food and Drink series with Tom Kerridge. He has also appeared on Channel 4 as Richard and Judy's wine expert and as The Wright Stuff's Wine Expert, amongst other broadcasting roles, and he hosts his show, Joe Wadsack's Great Wine Walks with Kitty Johnson.

The collaborative event between Vaasu and Joe Wadsack will see Joe expertly pair a five-course menu created especially for the night with exceptional wines from Hattingley Valley in Hampshire. Throughout the week, Hattingley Classic will also be Vaasu's special wine. Guests can expect to feast on outstanding modern Indian cooking paying particular homage to the cuisine of Punjab, Delhi and Rajasthan, washed down with sensational English wines expertly chosen to match each course.

Ahead of the dinner, chef Atul Kochhar said: "I've worked with Joe Wadsack on events in my restaurants before and have always been mesmerised by his palate and wine knowledge. So when the opportunity arose to collaborate with him for an event to coincide with English Wine Week I was very keen to get him involved. I can't wait for guests to experience the wines paired with our delectable tasting menu for the evening."
