Sandra Trusty from Fabulous Functions UK talks trends for weddings this summer

Sandra Trusty from Fabulous Functions UK is a wedding designer and venue stylist based in Swindon, Wiltshire. She covers weddings throughout the South West and nationwide. We ask her what the top trends are for styling weddings now that larger gatherings are back, and micro celebrations are still really popular. She tells us, "The botanical theme is trending at the moment with couples wishing to bring the outdoors in. We achieve this fashionable look by creating an overhead canopy using a variety of lush foliage and then echoing the theme in the table garland for the centrepiece."

Sandra adds, "We have teamed up with wedding venue Wrag Barn in Swindon (www.wragbarn.com) and Wiltshire-based photographer Steffen Milsom (www.steffenmilsomphotography.co.uk) to create a beautifully intimate setting for an outdoor wedding ceremony and an indoor wedding breakfast, sure to be very popular for micro weddings this summer. These ideas are being recreated for some of our couples who are now able to go ahead with their wedding plans. The arches are proving very popular and can be customised for each different theme."
