Here’s how to include your dog in your big day
Wedding days are often filled with celebrations with the ones you love the most, so it's...
A tree-lined driveway leading to Notley Abbey reveals the main house with its charming stone exterior and stunning grounds, ideal for big-day photos. The main entrance features a beautiful archway that's often decorated with flowers and at the back, there's an enchanting turret. Inside are nine luxurious bedrooms, perfect for wedding guests.
Ceremonies take place in a choice of three areas. The cosy Abbot's Hall is ideal for intimate gatherings of up to 90 loved ones, and larger celebrations of up to 170 guests can enjoy The Monks' Refectory, a Grade I listed stone-walled barn oozing charm and character. It features wooden beams and crystal chandeliers and is also the perfect pick for the wedding breakfast and evening party for up to 200 guests. Outside, the Walled Garden is licensed for outdoor ceremonies where couples can say their vows under a stone nook surrounded by green fields and sometimes the odd horse visiting from the neighbouring farm! Between the main house and The Monk's Refectory sits the pretty Cloisters Garden, perfect for cocktails and canapés on a summer's evening, and a drinks reception can also take place outside the front of the house on the stone patio (or inside the main reception in the event of bad weather.)
Couples who book their wedding at the property will have the help of the expert wedding planners on hand, as well as the opportunity to experience a tasting session including a selection of wines.
