   With a history dating back to the middle ages, it was originally headquarters of the Knights Templar, the house and its lands have been owned by notable religious figures, lords, and even kings throughout the centuries.
   For vows, couples can choose to make the most of the idyllic River Thames location with an outdoor ceremony at our Riverside Gazebo. Here, elegant white chairs and a pretty gazebo sit wonderfully within the natural landscape and host up to 200 gustes. A magical setting for more intimate ceremonies of 30, take to the water and say your vows aboard the St. John's College Barge. As the dappled light filters through the trees to the pretty boat below, you'll know this is a wedding day unlike any other. Not only can this be used for ceremonies, it is the perfect backdrop for photos.
  The Little Barn, boasting 15th -century charm can host ceremonies (100) and receptions. It's filled with rustic beauty, our Little Barn offers an enchanting space for your celebrations. Exposed brickwork and wooden beams create an informal atmosphere where everyone can relax and enjoy the day. The Little Barn Ceremony – up to 100 guestsCouples may choose the wonderful Oxford Suite (200) for the ceremony and reception as it offers all the space you need for larger celebrations. Whilst being flooded with daylight, your guests will love the views of the meadows and access to its own private outdoor terrace.Filled with natural daylight by day, tranquil and cosy by night. The Conservatory is the perfect balance of rustic and contemporary with its exposed 15th century brick walls, glass-top roof and white beams. It is spacious whilst elegant and creates the perfect backdrop for your post-vow celebrations.
   For larger celebrations or a little extra space, additionally you can hire the Little Barn or the River Room, which are adjacent to The Conservatory and allows for direct outside access.
