After a fulfilling career in garden design, I turned my hand to making sugar flowers for my son's wedding cake, and a few years later my own wedding cake, I soon found that this was something I truly enjoyed and loved doing, and as my son and many brides and grooms are trying to keep costs under control, they had a delicious home made naked sponge in vanilla, chocolate, and red velvet and finished with sugar flowers, costing a fraction of a traditional bought cake.
Taking time to learn every thing about the art of sugar craft I spent the next two years perfecting my craft , from how to colour ivy and assemble so that it would hang naturally in a design, to colouring a peony with lustre dusts so the petals look almost translucent, I now I show others how to create the flowers for there own special cake
With a little know-how and my own range of stainless steel cutters, and few tricks that I share like how bring sugar flower to life your flower, with a little edible colour, you can make a beautiful display very very easily ….. all you need is a little time to your self to be creative .
