October/November 2020

This issue, we’re celebrating the return of weddings, however small, and those of you who have swapped a spring or summer celebration for an intimate gathering this autumn will love our new-season issue packed full of ideas.

Our fairytale venues feature is brimming with magical choices and we also bring you the best properties in North Oxon and North Bucks. Our venue styling feature shows how to create a romantic seasonal vibe at your ceremony and reception – think twinkling canopies of fairylights and dining with your loved ones by candlelight. Consider decorating your venue with a floral chandelier or freshly-picked wildflowers overflowing in giant urns.

If like me, you’re a fan of fashion, then you’ll love our brilliant buys, from dresses and shoes to accessories, jewellery and more. There’s also bridal beauty, ideas for your hubby-to-be and Insta-worthy honeymoons for when we can freely travel again. I don’t know about you but I am already planning my next holiday.

Join us next issue for our Christmas special (yes, you read that correctly, Xmas will be here soon!)

Ditton Park Manor

Situated in picturesque gardens on a 200-acre estate and surrounded by a historic moat, this elegant, exclusive-use venue oozes character and charm with its Neo-Gothic architecture and offers weddings in a choice of exquisite settings. The landmark property is located just off the M4 and only 10 minutes from Heathrow Airport for those looking to jet off on honeymoon.

The aisle can be formed in the fragrant Arched Court outside in The Garden Arches, perfectly placed against the manor house with views of the moat and stunning loggia structure with its gothic archways that’s perfect for hosting outdoor ceremonies of up to 120 loved ones. Inside, ceremonies take place in The Gallery for up to 120 guests which features an elegant vaulted ceiling, ornate stone fireplace, large arched windows and hand-crafted wood panelling. There’s also The Montague Room graced with high ceilings and large windows flooding the room with plenty of natural light. It’s decorated in rich red tones and lit by an antique chandelier.

The wedding breakfast can be enjoyed under the stars in the magnificent glass-covered courtyard, cocooned within the historic walls of the 19th-century manor house. Larger parties of more than 140 loved ones can be accommodated in a clear span marquee on the lawn, which can be beautifully dressed to suit most different themes.

For a fairytale twist, the stunning bridal suite sits in an ivory tower and features its own Juliet balcony overlooking the estate.
