February/March 2021

With the new year in full swing and Easter just around the corner, this is a popular time for proposals. After the uncertainty of 2020, spring is almost upon us bringing with it the milder temperatures, lighter evenings and green shoots. Plenty of you might be planning to marry this year having been locked down with your loved one and realising that you don't want to be apart from them so this new-season issue is crammed full of real-life wedding inspiration, expert advice from local suppliers, staycation honeymoons and beautiful bridal fashion.

If like me, you can't wait to spoil your mum this Mother's Day (which falls on my birthday this year) then check out our website and social channels for great ideas on how to spoil her, from fabulous flowers to beauty products. Wishing you all a chocolate (and shoe-filled) Easter and I'll see you next issue!

Horwood House

This charming Grade 11 listed manor house is perched at the top of a long tree-lined driveway nestled within 38 acres of stunning Buckinghamshire countryside located just 11 miles from Milton Keynes. The beautifully landscaped gardens are home to a picturesque ornamental fountain, lily pond and wishing well that provide the perfect backdrop for big-day photos. The Manor House was built in 1911 and boasts some lovely historical features including the traditional brickwork.

The reception rooms provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere and create a neutral canvas for couples to design their own day. Ceremonies take place in the traditional Manor Lounge or outside in the manicured Pytheas Gardens, an enchanting setting. The property works well for an intimate micro wedding or a large celebration for up to 90 loved ones when restrictions lift.

Receptions take place in the bright and neutral Eyre Suite for up to 100 guests. It’s situated next to the main lounge and bar with easy access to the patio and garden. Alternatively, the Cook Suite is set in a more exclusive area with its own private bar providing a larger space accommodating up to 190 guests.
