Berkshire wedding venue offering new specialist treatments

Bubbles award-winning Donnington Valley Hotel & Spa in Newbury, Berkshire, has introduced new treatment offerings to its extensive spa menu which will be dedicated to guests living with, and recovering from, cancer.

Therapists have undergone training, with Beauty Despite Cancer founder Jennifer Young. to ensure that guests receive gentle, sensitive and adaptable spa experiences. The spa will offer the full range of Jennifer Young specialized treatments including the Glowing Facial, the Specialist Manicure & Pedicure, the Balanced Body & Mind Massage and the Indulgent Massage.

The Jennifer Young Glowing Facial incorporates soothing massage techniques help guests drift to a place of relaxation, leaving the skin with a glowing radiance. A specialist therapist extends the treatment to include a scalp massage making the experience even more enjoyable.

The Jennifer Young Indulgent Massage is designed to leave guests feeling deeply relaxed and is performed using 100% natural and organic Jennifer Young oils. One of the spas trained therapists will tailor the massage to meet individual needs and help restore harmony and well-being.

The Jennifer Young Balanced Body & Mind Massage involves Chakra balancing followed by a soothing full body massage using specially blended oils to leave guests feeling balanced and rejuvenated. Visitors can also enjoy The Jennifer Young Specialist Manicure which is a healing and relaxing treatment that combines the use of luxurious peach kernel oil and macadamia oil with the therapist's specialist knowledge. This nourishing and moisturising manicure is designed to treat damaged nails and sensitive skin, followed by expert advice on how guests can improve the condition of their nails.

The Jennifer Young Specialist Pedicure is also excellent for sensitive skin and includes a soothing and nourishing foot massage while nails are treated with a 100% natural and organic oil. Guests can then select a colour of their choice. The treatments use natural, organic products from two skin care collections, Defiant Beauty and Beyond Beauty. Defiant Beauty is designed for guests going through cancer treatments and is formulated for more sensitive skin, while Beyond Beauty is used post-cancer treatment and contains essential oils to treat dry skin. Both lines are derived from vegetable and essential oils, and are free from oestrogen, which is known to feed some cancers.
