Claire Farley, 28, married Jack Rider, 26, at St Mary the Virgin, Hurley, with a reception at Bisham Abbey, on 6th August, 2016.
Jack grew up in Hurley, so getting married in the church of St Mary the Virgin was a natural choice.
Bisham Abbey was a picturesque spot with extremely helpful staff. We never planned to have the wedding inside and so the space outside on the bank of the Thames was exactly what we were looking for.
The dress I ended up buying wasn't at all what I thought I wanted but it was perfect. The boutique allowed me plenty of time to think about it – they even sent me off with a sketch of me in the dress.
The bridesmaids wore pale grey slim-fitting gowns with cap sleeves and low back with lace detail. This was the first dress they tried on and all of them were happy, which was great!
The bouquets included dusky memory lane roses, purple lisianthus, white agapanthus, rosemary, lavender, grey eucalyptus, mint, scented phlox, lilac spray rose ocean mikado, lilac bouvadia, and blush O'Hara roses.
We travelled from the ceremony to the reception by boat. The best bit was pulling up at the venue on the riverside with all our guests.
We made all of our bunting and Jack's mum made a big flower ball in the centre of the roof of the marquee to add even more flowers.
We used lots of flowers to decorate the reception room. For the centrepieces we had wooden tree stump base with different glass vases, filled with delicate flowers, as well as tea lights in crackle effect silver jars.
We had a rustic naked cake with berries, which fitted the relaxed theme and tasted amazing.
Our party was amazing! For the daytime, we had a great acoustic guitarist, James McLean, who set a lovely relaxed mood. For the evening, we gave the DJ a playlist of our favourite songs.
