I’ve compiled an action-packed issue for you and it promises to be a great read! I love planning a magazine for this time of year, with seasonal colours providing inspiration. The real wedding of Laura and Sean caught my eye because of its beautiful barn venue, Notley Tythe Barn, which is an ideal choice for a cosy wedding as the evenings draw in and the temperature drops – turn to page 42 to read all about it. If you’d like to see your special day gracing the pages of Your Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wedding then please do email me at claire.ridley@countyweddingmagazines.com
In this issue, there’s fabulous fashion (which is one of my favourite parts of the job, browsing all of the wonderful bridal dresses that land in my inbox), big-day beauty ideas and honeymoon inspiration (now that we’re allowed to travel again, yay!)
As we approach Christmas and New Year, which will be the inspiration behind the next issue, sit back and enjoy the wedding planning journey with me.
Until the next issue,

Spotlight on venues in North Buckinghamshire and North Oxfordshire |
|
Cogges Manor Farm
This beautiful venue set in 17 acres boasts more than 1000 years of history and is an integral part of the local area, plus a popular filming location. It’s conveniently located close to Oxford in the heart of Witney and is less than a two-hour drive from London.
It’s home to two adjacent 18th-century barns providing a wonderful wedding setting and a blank canvas for couples to personalise their day. The pretty outdoor grounds reveal a manicured walled garden, perfect for a drinks reception, and the manor lawn can be used for croquet and garden games. This versatile venue suits an outdoor barbecue, hog roast and street food-style vans and there’s a firepit for toasting marshmallows. Music can be enjoyed outside and everything is set against a beautiful rural backdrop ideal for photographs that the resident farm animals love to be included in! There’s a covered canopy in case of rain and wedding parties can enjoy exclusive use after 5 pm.
Ceremonies take place in a choice of two Cotswold stone barns adjacent to one another. The Wheat Barn – the more spacious of the two – can seat up to 250 guests while Barley Barn, the smaller adjacent one, can seat up to 100 guests. There’s also St Mary’s Cogges Witney parish church located next door.
The wedding breakfast and reception can be held in one (or both) of the barns and spill outside on to the lawn. The Wheat Barn can seat up to 200 guests banqueting-style or host up to 130 loved ones at round tables. The Barley Barn is home to a dancefloor and bar and can also provide a quiet space for children.

New woodland wedding setting at Nuneham Estate |
|
Lucy Shaw, estate director of Nuneham Estate in Oxfordshire, recently opened The Cricket Field, a new marquee wedding reception venue, for a wedding showcase to help promote small local suppliers and businesses emerging from lockdown. It was important to the team at the country estate that small businesses were given a chance to get back on their feet after the uncertainties of the past year at no cost. Harry Saunders, owner of Husk Marquees (www.huskmarquees.co.uk) who is partnering with Nuneham Estate, provided the backdrop in one of his stunning structures ideal for a woodland-style wedding while Berkshire-based wedding photographer The Beautiful Due (http://thebeautifuldue.co.uk) captured some incredible images (pictured).
