Christmas has always been a big deal in my family and it’s only now we organise things for ourselves, that I’ve realised you don’t have to follow traditions for the sake of it. Playing to your strengths and not sweating the small stuff is always sound advice, and doing things your own way is something we celebrate here.
But it’s not just the military-style planning, but the rising sense of excitement that connects weddings with Christmas, and one of this issue’s couples, Megan and James, combined the two with a festive big day that began at the heart of Oxford's dreaming spires: the Bodleian Libraries.
