August/September 2020 |
|
As the new editor of this wonderful magazine covering so many picturesque parts of all three regions, I am excited that, as I type, the current lockdown restrictions have been lifted, with many bridal businesses opening their doors once more. I’ve been hearing positive ways in which boutique owners are welcoming brides-to-be and their bridal party. Restaurants and hotels have also reopened, prompting many of us to book a late-summer staycation. Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire are perfect places for this, with their abundance of beauty spots a must-see for couples planning a UK-based minimoon to the different regions.
This issue, there’s a what-to-pack staycation fashion feature along with Insta-worthy bridal fashion, big-day beauty, styled shoots, romantic real-life weddings and expert tips and tricks plus plenty more. For those of you who have postponed your wedding until later in the year or for 2021, I’ll see you next issue.
Until then...

Badgemore Park
Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this leisure and lifestyle destination offers a stunning photographic backdrop for weddings. Nestled within 120 acres of parkland in a countryside setting, it boasts breathtaking views, an 18-hole golf course, a secluded Walled Garden home to eight private bedrooms available on a bed and breakfast basis, and a pond and water fountain – a wedding photographer’s dream.
Ceremonies take place in the Coach House for up to 90 guests. Converted in the 19th century, it leads out on to the pretty courtyard, an ideal spot for postceremony drinks, and features an elevated area called The Fairway where up to 130 guests can enjoy the wedding breakfast set against views of the golf course. A complimentary food and wine tasting are available to the couple ahead of the wedding.
Receptions take place in the Coach House for up to 200 loved ones and the secluded Walled Garden is the perfect place to enjoy al fresco drinks and garden games.
