Firstly, I hope all of our readers have been keeping well during this surreal, unprecedented time. It would be hard for me to not mention the dreaded c-word, however, I admire how everyone, no matter how badly they have been effected, has come together to help and support one another. The tide will start turning, and we can all begin to re-plan cancelled weddings, re-book honeymoons and get back to our wonderful world of weddings – supporting local businesses and couples finding their feet again!

This issue, will hopefully give you some light relief, and offer up some inspiration for your weddings at the end of this year and beyond.

As I’m writing this, typically English weather is bestowed on us: wet, grey, windy and rainy – we love the UK!

On my own wedding day the heavens opened, but I had planned an indoor wedding and the ceremony and reception was all in one place so we didn’t even notice the weather. When we went outside for our couple shots, the grey gloomy images are actually some of my favourites – so I say embrace the rain. That’s exactly what one of our real wedding couples did this issue, Shelley and Luke, there wedding can be seen over on page 38 and not only do that have lovely shots with umbrellas, but I also loved this quote from the bride: “The rain always brightens my day now since our wedding day, where as before I hated it. But a little rain never hurt anyone and if anything this was the extra special part of our day,” that’s certainly a beautiful outlook on life!

Looking at the rest of this issue for you, we showcase some stunning barn properties perfect for those wanting rustic nuptials, check our page 17 and we also look at the West Berkshire and Newbury area over on page 23.

If you’re stuck for bouquet inspiration, meet with some of your local florists over on page 53 and we have some jewellery and accessory looks you will be in awe of on page 57.

We love to hear from local brides and suppliers, so if you would like to get in touch to grace the pages of our lovely magazine then drop me an email!

Pull up a chair, make a brew and enjoy reading this issue.
