Eynsham Hall
Fancy tying the knot in a Grade II listed mansion? Oxfordshire’s Eynsham Hall is just that and makes for a whimsical setting with elegant period features and a twist of modern design, and set in 3,000 acres of rolling parkland, there are plenty of outdoor photo opportunities.
A Jacobean staircase dominates the reception area and makes for a grand entrance for any bride, while the many rooms are full of character and charm including oak-panelled walls, ornate ceilings, historic oil paintings, marble fireplaces and views over the romantic gardens.
Tie the knot either on the terrace overlooking the South Park and formal terraced gardens and fountains with up to 150 loved ones, or in the Red Room, with up to 120 guests, or the Library, with up to 60 friends and family.
Receptions can take place in the Green or Red Rooms for up to 200 and 100 loved ones, respectively, and the Library can operate as a private bar with access to the terrace, with up to 70 guests. The dramatic stone mullion windows of the venue all add to the fairytale ambience, while the champagne terrace is the perfect place to appreciate the beauty of the surroundings. And there’s nearly 100 rooms, so no-one has to call a taxi.
