Blenheim Palace
Blenheim Palace is a masterpiece of 18th-century Baroque, surrounded by more than 2,000 acres of parkland, originally landscaped by Capability Brown and famously, the ‘finest view in England.’ There are also 90 acres of formal gardens, including the Water Terraces.
For your ceremony, choose from the Marlborough Room with up to 120 of your loved ones, or for small services, the Malplaquet and Oudenarde Rooms accommodating up to 18 or 30 guests respectively. Then for evening ceremonies of up to 250 friends and family, there’s the Orangery, also formerly the Marlborough family’s private theatre, which overlooks the Duke’s Italian Garden.
For receptions, there are plenty of venue options: The Great Hall (holding 150 guests for the wedding breakfast and 250 for the evening reception) and the Saloon (80 and 150 respectively), which can also work together for dinner and drinks receptions. Then there’s the Long Library, home to 10,000 books and up to 300 loved ones for dinner or 500 for a drinks reception, while the Water Terraces can hold 300 for an evening do, with facilities for live music and dancing. And if you need even more space, marquees can be constructed on the South Lawn.
